Who is this guy? Mike has been involved in volunteer EMS since 1975. At 17 years old, he joined the Sloatsburg, NY Volunteer Ambulance Corps junior corp. (Thanks, Roy and Johnny!) when we used to ride out in a Cadillac ambulance (Ouch, my head!) and the only certification needed in New York State at that time was CPR and Advanced First Aid. Through the years he was an active member of a number of other organizations including the Tuxedo, NY Volunteer Ambulance Corps. (1976-1985) and a New York EMT-D in the Town of Newburgh, NY Volunteer Ambulance Corps. (1986-1997) He is presently a Texas EMT-B and an active member of the Georgetown, TX Medical Assist Team (1997- ) volunteer first responders. All in all, more than 2000 volunteer calls answered. His volunteering does not end there... he's also an AHA CPR and First Aid instructor, joined the American Red Cross to help Hurricane Katrina victims, very involved in his church and other community activities and believes true volunteering is stepping up to the task without being asked... giving something back, for what God and this wonderful country and those that fought for her have given US.
