Deacon Marc & Beverly Washburne are proud to be a part of the wonderful parish of Santa Rosa. We look forward to working with all of you, and Fr. Ibeh to continue the spirit of Love we find here.

 

Marc is the oldest of 3 children and was born in Corpus Christi to a military family. His family settled in Dallas in 1963 after his father's retirement from active duty in the US Navy. Marc graduated from North Texas State University in 1971.

 

Beverly is the oldest of 4 children, and was born in Albion, Mich. She attended the University of Michigan. She moved to Texas in 1972. She and Marc met in Austin and married in 1983.

 

Marc & Beverly raised 4 daughters, the youngest 2 are about to graduate from Texas A & M. They also have 7 grandchildren.

 

In addition to their 4 daughters, Marc & Beverly cared for many Foster Children for 15 years.

 

Marc & Beverly attended Diaconate formation & classes for 4 years, and Marc was ordained June 11, 1995. He was ordained under Bishop John McCarthy and was assigned to his 1st parish - St Elizabeth in Pflugerville. Later, he moved to St Patrick parish to help Fr. Andy Gunn, deceased. (St Patrick moved to Hutto).

 

Marc and Beverly still work full time - he is with the Texas Department of Public Safety and Beverly is an LVN and a local nursing home.

 

We look forward to working with all of you, and Fr Ibeh and we pray for Fr Ibeh and all his ministry, and we lift up in prayer the parish of Santa Rosa.
