High tech and the services that supply it are the hottest, as is the health care industry and retirement services. Training is available for most jobs. Pay is good, umemployment relatively low. The newspaper is filled with career options as are the radio station advertisements. The early '90's' fear of being 'surplussed' had all but vanished, but there was no escaping the last slump, and layoffs were just as bad here as anywhere else.
