A Rural Yankee's View of Central Texas

I moved to Texas from upstate NY. Granted, I came from a small town that still had somewhat kept good, old-fashioned values, but I was looking for a place where that Mayberry-like feeling wasn't dying. Took me three years to find what I was looking for. I think I came pretty darn close. Here's my view (for what it's worth) for those that ask (why else would you be here?). Comments are strictly mine... You'll see there's not much I don't like about Central Texas.
