After completion of a 1951 US run, I elected to pursue my birth year, 1942. Prior to 1955, plates varied in size from state to state. Especially noticable were the Tennessee plates that were shaped like the state. Pennsylvania was another one that was stamped to match the outline of the state. Montana and Wyoming were interesting because of their size and design. The plates displayed here are in a consistant scale. Updated: 1 Nov 05. AK & HI still needed.
