Chapter Committees

  • Care Committee: Supports our members by providing meals and a helping hand to members who have added a new family member, had a death in the family, etc.
  • Community Service Committee: Organizes the chapter’s participation in community service events. (Selections have included Race for the Cure, Habitat for Humanity, Christmas card recycling, and the East End Recreational Center.)
  • Advocacy Committee: Advocates for mothers with regard to economic and social issues. This includes working on Women’s Day at the Legislature, the Mothers Day Campaign, and Family Friendly Business Awards.
  • Membership Committee: Provides new members with information about the chapter and national organization. Including preparing and distributing new member packets. Also maintains current records of paid members.
  • Fundraising Committee: Devises and executes an ongoing fundraising strategy that will provide our chapter with funds to meet operating expenses as well as some discretionary expenses (donations, events, scholarships, etc.). This does not mean continuous fundraising but rather a regular look at our needs and assessing possible fundraising opportunities.
  • Social Committee: Plans, schedules and coordinates outings and activities that are not part of the regular meeting structure ("Mom’s Night Out," moms and tots outings, social events, etc.
