- Care Committee: Supports our members by providing meals and
a helping hand to members who have added a new family member, had
a death in the family, etc.
- Community Service Committee: Organizes the chapters
participation in community service events. (Selections have included
Race for the Cure, Habitat for Humanity, Christmas card recycling,
and the East End Recreational Center.)
- Advocacy Committee: Advocates for mothers with regard to
economic and social issues. This includes working on Womens
Day at the Legislature, the Mothers Day Campaign, and Family Friendly
Business Awards.
- Membership Committee: Provides new members with information
about the chapter and national organization. Including preparing and
distributing new member packets. Also maintains current records of
paid members.
- Fundraising Committee: Devises and executes an ongoing fundraising
strategy that will provide our chapter with funds to meet operating
expenses as well as some discretionary expenses (donations, events,
scholarships, etc.). This does not mean continuous fundraising but
rather a regular look at our needs and assessing possible fundraising
opportunities.
- Social Committee: Plans, schedules and coordinates outings
and activities that are not part of the regular meeting structure
("Moms Night Out," moms and tots outings, social events,
etc.
