Chief Richtscheit and K-9 Spin
![]() K-9 Spin recently retired due to health concerns. We wish Spin a speedy recovery, and welcome the Chief's new K-9 "Tara"! | The Mount Union Borough Police Department K-9 Unit welcomes our newest members - Chief Richtscheit and one of his trained Police K-9 "Spin". Spin is a ten year old Belgian Malinois and has been responsible for numerous drug finds in Central Pennsylvania. In addition, Spin has tracked several robbery suspects and has been instrumental in locating evidence during article searches. Spin has also located suspects during area searches and has made criminal apprehensions during her career. The Mount Union Borough Police Department K-9 Unit is on call twenty-four hours a day and responds to any other department's request for K-9 assistance. The K-9 Unit also provides locker and parking lot searches for various area school districts. Chief Richtscheit now handles K-9 "Tara" and we welcome her to our K-9 Unit!
