I started this little endeavor in a fit of nostalgia quite a few years ago,
with one of my all-time favorite toys...the 1961 MARX GREAT GARLOO. After locating a nice working example,
my research revealed that his shoulder and handpads had been fashioned from foam, which disintegrated
quite rapidly. In fact it is an absolute rarity to find even a remnant of one still hanging there today. SO...I proceeded
to make a template for these, and after trial and error I came up with a really nice set of pads...so nice that the light
bulb came on (also rare!) and I figured SOMEONE out there would enjoy these too! WOW...I was right (theres that "rare" thing
again...) After shipping out a good number of sets, I got the idea to make his neck medallion via the mold
and casting method. Now that was FUN! The comments and suggestions started rolling in, and within a year I
had nearly doubled my toy collection. Since then, I've proceeded to pull parts off them left and right to make
molds for....and now I have hundreds of cool repro parts, stickersets, instructions, T-shirts, and no plans to slow down!
