19 Sep 2009 work day results
Many thanks to all the volunteers who showed Saturday. We had nine in attendance which allowed for many projects to be finished or started. Rob, Ryan & Ryan Jr Steiner, Ron Russel, Bill Dunn and his son Bill, Alex Macfarlane, Joe White and John Muller. We cleaned out and burned the paper products from the club house... Bill installed stringers on the joists... the brush cut down weeks ago was also burned... 10, 15 yard back stops were fixed... 3, 5, 7, yard movable back stops installed all this was started at 10am and the last of the volunteers left at 5pm. Thank them when you see them... they did a great job.

21 Sep 2009 Work Night Results
Thanks go to Jason Kaczorowski for his weed whacking at the Rifle range. While Jason was working on the Rifle range, John Muller cleaned the gutters and did a good bit of mowing.

14 Sep 2009 meeting results

Reports: 202 membership plus 29 re-up + 16 new = 247 total members
Rob and Ryan Steiner asked for sponsorship for a youth BB gun shoot in the spring. Cost was $220.00 Motion made by john muller seconded by alex macfarlane, motion passed.
Coatesville Veterians affair's officer Jeff Steidler sp? contacted the club to see if some arrangement may be may for there officers to qualify. It was tabled until more information was obtained. The club was referred by the park rangers from hopewell furnace.
T-shirts are in $12.00 each

15 Aug 2009 Work Day Results
Thanks to Rich MacDonald and John Muller for showing up. Rich cut small saplings with his chain saw and John weed whacked the rifle range. Alex Macfarlane had weed whacked around the rifle pavilion and up to the 50 yard back stop prior to the work day.
 

3 Aug 2009 Meeting Results
Meeting started 8:21pm
Reports:
     Membership: 88 plus 85 re-up plus 16 new = 193 total
            105 memberships late, will be purged Oct 1, 2009
     Trustees: no report
     Maintenance: parking lots complete as is the pistol range and firing line. Log cabin started. A dead tree needs to be taken down behind club house.
     Balloon shoot: rain out
     Trap: 180 gross - cost leaves 94.50 net to the club for the month
 
Old Business:
    Joseph Davis paving submitted bill, membership review, sanatoga, stern Nester and Joseph Davis. Membership voted for Joseph Davis to pave entrance. Mr. Davis is to contact Mr. Muller when job is scheduled so Mr. Muller may notify membership and neighbors of dates of paving. No parking on or using driveway for the two days following completion.
 
New Business:
     Abe miller reported on porta potty rental and service. $77.00 was the bid. Membership voted on and motion passed to rent until alternative may be available.
     Discussion of building addition to the club house of an additional bathroom with an exterior door for the membership. Archie Bowen and another member to price out materials cost and bring to the membership.
     Look for additional folding chairs to be donated or acquired inexpensively.
     New members:
          4 mail in + 16 walk in = 20 new tonight brings total to 193 membership tonight
 
Raffles: 1a)14 lbs pork ribs 1b) bacon 2a) 4+/- lbs Choice strip steaks 2b) bacon= $173 taken in for the club.
 
Attendance: 66 + and 10-15 left for standing room only and or picking up their renewal cards.

August 15th 2009 work day results
Thanks to Rich MacDonald and John Muller for their work on the rifle range. Thanks to Alex Macfarlane as well for weed whacking before since he as unable to attend the wok day.

20 July 2009 work night results
Thanks to Rob Steiner, Joe White and John Muller, they started to clean out the log cabin, by removing the wood pallets and stacking them, for conversion to a garage.

 18 Jul 2009 work day results
Thanks go to Tom Best, Rob Steiner and John Muller for there work today. Stacked cases of clay birds and boarded up the concession stand area of Rifle Range pavilion. Lazy member were hiding there trash in that area and leaf drifts were making the area an eye sore. Replaced a back board at 50 yards on the Rifle range. Turned away 4 or 5 members who wanted to shoot but not help out with the work.

July 6th 2009 Meeting Results

     Membership: 270 + 7 tonight + 277 for the year
                         88 paid for 2010 so far, members have until August 1st to pay up before lock combination is changed.
     Trap: only one Thursday do to rain etc. 2 shooters 6 rounds $24 gross - 12 cost = $12 net to club for the month
      Balloon shoot: net to club $35.00
     Trustees: work day a rain out so we worked indoors building a shotgun patterning stand. will be placed by number two trap house. members may stapled there cardboard onto frame, stand on #2 trap pad and shoot apx 16 yards
     Mail boxes are now installed at trap range and pistol range... they hold trash bags for members who may need them to take their trash with them if they forgot a bag.
 
old business:
Paving: numbers given from two bidders, membership divided so additional bids to be sought and was tabled until next month
 
New business
     porta potty is in need of cleaning or replacement. motion made by bob stone and seconded by mike Lindsay to have Abe miller get in touch with a local company to service it for there monthly fee.
     Discussion on the conversion of log cabin into garage for tractors.
     Thanks to frank johns for the donation of his john Deere tractor to help with the mowing of the grounds.
     Archie Bowen offered to construct a bathroom with an outside door which would be less expensive to the club then a yearly port-ta potty service fee. more research to be done before the club moves ahead with the proposal but it looked promising

The club would like to thank Rodger at rodger better bullets "King Shooter Supply" for donating a 500 count box of 38 swc bullets for the club to raffle tonight.

     Balloon shoot: May was Net 40.00 to the club, June shoot is the 7th.

New Business
    Gravel for upper parking lot 245 per load, tail gated a2 modified 2 truck loads recommended for a 100 x 40 for parking lot.
    Bid given by company to scrape off dirt and lay a2 modified 100x 50 feet was $xxxx.xx... Member who owns a loader offered to do the job for cost... Motion made and passed for Kenny Frame to do the job. Ken will get a hold of John Muller to go over details.
    Bid given for re-paving entrance driveway... membership interested but wants to wait of second and or third bid to make sure it is competitive.
    Bid also given for extension of entrance drive up to 4x4 posts at end of main parking lot. Membership interested if money allows and other bids are competitive.
     If and When paving is authorized the driveway will be closed to driving on for 48 hours minimum after paving. Members allowed to park on grass at entrance and walk in to shoot. Notification will be give to prior to paving.
     Swals need to be created to reduce washout on driveway.

20 Jun 2009 Workday
Thanks to Tom Best, Rob Steiner and John Muller for attending a very wet workday. Club house clean up was done along with the construction of a shotgun patterning board target. This back stop is almost complete and will be placed to the right of the number two trap house when complete. It will be only for patterning shotguns.

15 Jun 2009 work night
Thanks to Mike ? and John Muller for attending the work night. The Rifle range was worked on and the rifle pavilion was cleaned up from trash left by some louts.

23 May 2009  work day results
work day... holiday weekend... opps... only John Muller was in attendance.
Found balloons stapled to posts, empty milk jug on top of a post as well as a steel plate leaning against a post.
Do not attach, place or lean any items on or near post.

May 4th 2009 Meeting Results

Reports: Treasurers given and Bills Presented
             Membership 234 + 4 mail in + 11 tonight= 249 total
             NRA #'s 25 pending + 20 no info at all + 4 corrupted, not including
tonight. They will not be eligible for 2010 cards without that number.
             6 members paid + 15 tonight = 21 paid for 2010 
             Trustees: Work day went well 4 showed and cleaned the pistol & rifle range. Installed sump pump in trap house. Reminder for the next work day is Sat the 23rd. Next Work Night is Mon. the 18th
             Balloon Shoot: Steady Rain but had several shooters. Net to club to be given at next meeting.
 
Old Business:
             T-shirts are in if you have a different design contact Steve Miller. Otherwise $12.00 per shirt. Shirts with pockets were preferred as was larger sizes. Patches Large and small, hats, coffee mugs were also mentioned.
             Still some trash being left behind by a member. Other members helping to keep the place clean.
New Business:
            Newsletter done and will be sent out at end of month. Those members just joining already have next years card and need not pay additionally.
            Request for box at pistol range to hold garbage bags was requested by Rob Steiner. Was agreed to and will be done shortly.
            Topic of requiring 1 hour of work as part of dues or being able to opt out for additional fee. The increase in dues and or the addition of an application fee. At the present these options were tabled. A wait and see if more members help out was taken by the majority present.

18 Apr 2009 Work day results
Thanks go to Sean Webb, Rob Stiner, James Fisher and John Muller for their hard work. Rob spent the entire time cleaning up the pistol range. Sean, James and John split their clean up/ repair time between the rifle and pistol ranges. We also spent some time installing a sump pump in the trap house. The ranges look good thanks to these men. Thank them when you see them for they did not see other members there helping. hint hint

     Trustees:some member has left trash behind... was given phone calls by members who cleaned up most of the messes, thanks go to those members who helped out..1 halogen trap light needs to be replaced, pump in trap house "gave up the ghost" ed vanderbush purchased a new one for $99.91... 6 inches of water in trap house to pump out... work day was success.. installed trap machine and stacked 15 cases of birds six members attended: next work day is the 18th of april
     Trap: one shooter April 2nd shot three rounds, gave it to him at cost for 6 dollars has started, everly thursday 5pm $4.00 per round
     Balloon Shoot:
several shooters, netted club 105.00 gave 5 or 6 prizes
 
Old Business:
kitchen renovation continues but at a slower pace... dehumidifier needed for moisture after vapor barrier goes up...
t-shirts are to be made up and folks may purchase them next month... price to be determined
still considering building wall on rifle range cost approximately $800.00
new business:
looked into phone service... $26 dollars per month with two year agreement... 8.1 cents per outgoing local call... free incoming.
Some trash left behind at trap range used burn barrels as garbage cans... some cleaned up by brian tevis the rest cleaned up by john muller. burn barrels removed by john muller... cinderblock and tin cans left at pistol range by a member... cleaned up , mostly, by another member..., paper targets left on back stops... some steel tagets leaning on posts and somone used the backstopes for clay bird placement and target practice... these actions are not allowed...

March 2nd 2009 meeting results

maintenance, continued to stud out kitchen walls have cut water pipes to bathrooms until studding is complete
old business: have not heard from sen. Rafferty's office on grant
new business: some member... most likely new have left trash at the trap range, they left McDonald food wrappers and a shot up orange road cone an burned plastic shotgun shells. this was all left behind for other members to clean up. On a different day a member(s) brought cinder blocks up and tin cans to shoot at and left them behind at the pistol range, they also removed the plywood back stops and placed clay birds on the 2x4's to us as stands for their targets. Clean up after yourself for your membership is at risk for leaving trash or for shooting at the frames... your mother is not here to clean up after you so don't leave a mess... IE leave no trace...

Balloon shoot: $65.00 profit for the 1st of Feb shoot, Ed Vanderbush plowed drive and parking lots of snow and ice
 
Old business: John Muller has not heard about State grant as yet
 
New business: Steve Miller presented potential design for shirts with NCCSC logo
     John Muller presented option of embroidme that offer a link for the web and will send out shirts directly... with logo
     John Muller put together a proposal to consider building a wooden wall 16' in length and 8 1/2 inches thick 3" in 2x wood with 5 1/2 inches of dirt filled inside cavity... cost approximately $750.00 additional cost might be if we tar the inside of the cavity for added longevity of the wood... will bring it up again in several months for more discussion... this wall would be for the left side of rifle range firing line extending from edge of line downrange... and 8' in height
