We stayed at the Sanddune Villa on Grace Bay Beach. This villa is part of the Aquamarine Beach Houses property. What an amazing place! The villa overlooks the beautiful turquoise waters of Grace Bay and is only a few steps to the beach. The property has a nice-sized pool, and a tennis court.
The villa itself was well-equipped. Whatever you needed was provided... including blenders for mixing fruity libations, a DVD/VCR player for some late-night movies, a stereo for some tunes, a gas grill for each villa that we used to grill some delicious steaks, and a water cooler so you didn't need to keep buying bottled water!
Oh, did I mention free Wi-fi internet access?! BYOL, of course (Bring Your Own Laptop). You just know this was the clincher for us, seeing as how I get the shakes when I can't surf the web. LOL.
The owners, Paula & John, live on the property so the villas are all well-cared for. They were wonderful hosts and very accommodating. They spoiled us by upgrading us to the huge Sanddune Villa. Thank you Paula & John!
One of the highlights is the small reef just a few yards from the beach in front. It had a good variety of corals and fish to see. We saw not just one, but TWO turtles! Woweeee! We're not sure if this reef has a name, but we are calling it "John's Reef" in honor of John who insisted that we give this reef a try. Thanks John!
We HIGHLY recommend this place. We cannot wait to come back!
