STATE'S
EVIDENCE "An
intriguing story of murder, madness and mayhem, with a slight blend of mystery.
Flowers depicts believable characters in this suspenseful legal thriller." --
Romantic Times "R.
Barri Flowers has written an electrifying and enthralling legal thriller that
will appeal to readers of Nancy Taylor Rosenberg and Barbara Parker. The courtroom
scenes are very realistic and the heroine is someone readers will empathize with
and admire as a role model for minorities and women. STATE'S EVIDENCE would make
a great action packed movie." --- Harriet Klausner "R.
Barri Flowers's book STATE'S EVIDENCE is a well-written thriller with an opening
scene that would cause anyone to keep turning the pages. STATE'S EVIDENCE will
make the top sellers list because it's fast-paced, intriguing, satisfying, and
I highly recommend it to you." -- Romance Reader At Heart

curve. One of my suppositions did prove out but was clouded by the red herrings
being thrown around...It was well worth the time taken to read it."-- Roundtable

"STATE'S EVIDENCE...is a mixture of murder, mystery, madness and mayhem. The story
was well-written and believable, and at times erotic. Flowers inflicted the characters
with human flaws, among them the desire for love and revenge." -- RAWSISTAZ Reviewers "R.
Barri Flowers has penned another wonderful legal thriller.... This book has a
fast pace, a lot of action, a lot of sex, and wil leave you floored from beginning
to end. I am now a R. Barri Flowers fan. His knowledge of the law only heightens
the story and the message in the book. I now understand why lawyers make the best
writers." -- Friday Night Book Reviews "Flowers
once again has written a page-turner legal thriller that begins with a bang and
rapidly moves along to its final page. He has filled the novel with believeable
characters and situations. I especially liked the twist of who shot and killed
the judge." -- Midwest Book Review JUSTICE
SERVED "An
A+ suspense/mystery with a touch of heartfelt romance .... Flowers has given us
much more than a captivating story here -- he's served a wake up call to failing
judicial systems bogged down in mires of red tape and loop holes .... Powerful
legal suspense is riveting." -- Fresh Fiction READ

The Readers
Room Review “A
suspense-filled descent into chaos..." -- Eleanor Taylor Bland, author of WHISPERS
IN THE DARK "R.
Barri Flowers is an engaging storyteller who writes with enough panache to keep
you wondering who done it." -- Tracy Price Thompson, author of BLACK COFFEE IN
THE DARK OF NIGHT "Flowers
has captured the sights and sounds and smells of New York City and London's East
End in 1888. You can feel the squalor of the city and the deprivation and desperation
of the people. He maintains a fine balance in the narrative of the first person
(Henry) and the third person (Jack). He delves into the demented mind of Lewiston
with his love/hate obsession with his mother. In his departure from contemporary
thrillers, Flowers has given us a compelling and powerful account of Jack the
Ripper. This is another theory of 'Who was Jack the Ripper? Flowers makes a strong
case in his presentation." -- Barbara Buhrer of MysteryAbout.com "It
gets no better than this! R. Barri Flowers has written another thriller guaranteed
to hold onto its readers! It was so gripping that I forgot to breathe a couple
of times! I highly recommend this author!" -- Detra Fitch of Huntress Book Reviews DEADLY
SECRETS IN THE MOTOR CITY "Deadly
Secrets In The Motor City is the perfect mystery with sex and drama thrown in
for good measure. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more
by author R. Barri Flowers. On the RAW scale this book is a 5." -- Simone A. Hawks
of RAWSISTAZ Reviewers "Deadly
Secrets in the Motor City is a fast paced thriller set in Detroit which tracks
the investigation of the murder of the city's first African American District
Attorney. What distinguishes this mystery from others is the personal feel gathered
for the characters ... Jackie Jones is a likable and real character that readers
will enjoy. A myriad of other characters combine to set the stage for an enjoyable
read." -- Another RAWSISTAZ Reviewer "A
fast-paced, easy read that keeps the reader turning the pages to see what happens
next, to whom, and why. The character of Jackie Jones was well developed as the
readers got a sense of who she was and what made her tick. Although Jones was
a private investigator and tough in her own rights, she was a gentle, loving woman
secure with herself. The book is very good as it twists and turns and delves into
the lives of Jackie Jones, her ex-husband, his new wife and Jackie's boyfriend.
The suspense of the book coupled with the technical, but understandable, aspects
of the book; makes this a must read for all interested in law, crime, police work
or those who just love to read good books" -- Renee Cooper, Criminal Defense Attorney
in Colorado MURDER
IN THE ROSE CITY "Rose
City is an interesting blend of classic film noir and rough, modern black cinema.
Yes, both of the first things that came to my mind with this book were films,
because like many modern thrillers it's strongly influenced by the movies. Quick
action and tight dialogue make it a jolting thriller, but it's also got the psychological
tightness of a good mystery puzzle. You're right there in the scene and you do
spot the clues in the same mindset as an experienced, well-rounded detective with
a strong police background that tells you volumes about the prequels Flowers could
write about this man's previous job. The clues are there and Flowers played fair,
giving you a shot at your own observations. I enjoyed this. Good book to put on
some slow jazz with and relax, letting your brain work on some problems that are
nothing like your own." -- Robert A. Sloan, author of RAVEN DANCE
