Reviews

Flowers from the Grave:

"Writer Laing presents a cleverly wrought work filled with the sounds of the sea, the scent of liquor on the murderer’s breath, terror filled moments broken only through the ministrations of an other worldly figure and good police work."--Molly Martin, teacher

"Set against the backdrop of the beautiful Australian coastline, Flowers From the Grave is a charming mystery. The author conveys a bubbly enthusiasm for her material and a felicity with the details of the Aussie countryside. The local vernacular lends an authentic and warm atmosphere to the tale..." --Howard Hopkins, author

Captain Angus, the Lighthouse Ghost:

"Laing's book, worthy as a teaching aid, instructs readers about colonial history in Australia. Listeners follow along with two children, exploring through a magic time travel tunnel with an old Scottish sea captain. Available as a CD ROM audio book, this reviewer enjoyed sharing this fascinating guide with her three children"--Jennifer LB Leese, children's author

Sir Henry, the Knight in Space:

"When twins accidentally beam Sir Henry from 14th Century Scotland into their father's space ship, the fun and adventure begins. Sir Henry teams up with Roto the robot to find his way home through time. Children 7-12 will enjoy this story as they read Laing's creative version of combining the past with the future."--Jennifer LB Leese, children's author
