Mike
Nettleton is an Oregon native-turned radio gypsy who found his
way back home in the late Eighties. Settled into a ten-year gig
with1190 KEX radio in Portland, Mike has co-written four novels
with his wife Carolyn J. Rose. Although they've threatened, friends
have yet to instigate a marital intervention. His short stories
have won two PNW blue ribbons and their jointly written fantasy,
The Hermit of Humbug Mountain, was a Rocky Mountain Gold finalist.
Other interests include golf, tennis, avoiding yard work, hold-em
poker and book collecting. He has a 31 year old son, Robert from
a first marriage.
Carolyn J. Rose
developed her interest in homicide and whodunit during the 24 years
she tracked news stories for TV stations in Little Rock, Arkansas,
Albuquerque, New Mexico, Eugene, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington.
More recently, she jumped into the educational trenches as a substitute
teacher. She and Mike teach a Novel-Writing Boot Camp at Clark Community
College in Vancouver. Their biggest challenges have been house-breaking
Bubba the ten-pound wonder dog, and learning how to write together
without contemplating divorce more than once a day.

HERMIT
OF HUMBUG MOUNTAIN: "...very entertaining with imaginative
and imposable situations to be met and overcome by our young hero and heroine....
a wonderful adventure for early teenagers. --Jo Ellen, lighthouseliteraryreviews.com DATED
TO DEATH: "Bursting with delicious characters and
tart repartée, Dated to Death...manages to be simultaneously cozy and sophisticated."--Judith,
lighthouseliteraryreviews.com CONSULTED
TO DEATH: "The snappy irreverent voice of Casey Brandt
and this fast-paced quirky plot will keep you smiling and turning pages late into
the night. In this debut mystery, author Carolyn Rose has transformed the black
and white backrooms of the television news world into a colorful whodunit. Rose
is a talented writer worthy of watching for her next mystery, and the next."
-- Elizabeth Lyon Author of The Sell-Your-Novel Toolkit "As
a former TV news reporter and anchorman, I felt like Consulted to Death took
me right back to those crazy days...except for the murder part...we only "roughed
up" consultants in my day! Couldn't put the book down until I found out whodunit!
Can't wait for her next one!" --Phil "The Bean" Sisneros, air personality
on KKOB-FM radio in Albuquerque, NM Top
