NARFE CHAPTER 190 MINUTES OF BOARD MEETING For MAY on April 24, 2009 M eeting called to order at 10:35 by President Tony Pizza. Attendees: Tony, George Ramirez, Vic Johnson, Bob Willis, Carl & Dukie Bailey, Marilou Balangue, Mary Ellen De Luca.Minutes read and accepted as corrected .Tr easurer Carl Bailey reported checkbook balance of $3809.58 + $25.00 petty cash. Carl said that Vangie Tejeda wants to try to arrange a bus trip to Las Vegas in September. A motion was made to check on the liability of NARFE and our chapter in such trips. Passed. Juanita Davis, 1st v.p. was absent so Carl reported membership stands at 861.2 nd v.p. George Ramirez had no report.Tony wil l invite area Presidents and officers to our BBQ in July.Marilou Balangue reported 50# of food donated to Food Share. Program Chair George Ramirez said that our speaker at the General Meeting would be Jeff Johnson of Rome Video Studios. His company transfers movies and videos to CD's. Carl said the person who said that his Newsletter was late and unacceptable would be added to our e-mail list. Vic John son, Newsletter editor, said the meeting notification for reservations and cancellations would be stressed. Return service and address service are requested. We are at the mercy of the printer, mailer and the Post Office.Dukie Bailey will arrange for the BBQ in July. 6 of the Board will attend the District meeting on May 16 in Burbank .State Convention attendees will be Tony & Rena, Carl & Dukie - May 1-3. Vot ed to accept committee and Ch. Bob Davidson's recommendations on the resolutions.Meeting adjourned at 12:10 p.m. Mary Ellen De Luca, Secretary |
