NARFE CHAPTER 190 MINUTES OF BOARD MEETING November 1, 2008 NARFE Chapter 190 Board Meeting for November 2008 held on October 26, 2007 Meeting called t o order at 10:45p.m. by President Tony Pizza. Attendees: Tony, George Lindsey, George Ramirez, Vic Johnson, Carl & Dukie Bailey, Mary Ellen De Luca.Newsletter Editor Vic Johnson has visited 7 printers to see who has the lowest price. It seems that the present printer is lowest. He will include info about Food Share - that we will collect food and funds at the meetings. Email all news to him.Treasurer Carl Bailey reported funds of : checking - $5054.43, petty cash-$25.00, activity fund - $3420.21. There is a new IRS form concerning income but we are waiting for clarification before filing.Minutes read and approved. 1 st V.p. George Ramirez reported membership is 868.2 nd v.p. George Lindsey reported that NARFE is doing a great job in getting support for Premium Conversion. Need to get it out of committee for a vote.Service Officer Bob Willis is away . Ways & Means Ch. Marilou Balangue said that Sgt. at Arms Juanita Davis has had surgery. She expects to be at the General Meeting. Carl commented on how great it is to have the name tags at the meetings.George Ramirez said that the November program would be given by Janay Garrick fr om New Life Homes, which cares for babies and young children in Kenya who are HIV positive. The December program will feature a visit by our California State Federation President Ray Harrington.Dukie Bailey said that our donation to t he V.C.
