The meeting was called to order by President Tony Pizza at 10:32 a.m.  Attendees: Tony, Marilou Balangue, Juanita Davis, Bob Willis, Carl & Dukie Bailey, George Ramirez and Mary Ellen De Luca.

Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved.

Treasurer Carl Bailey reported checkbook balance of $3992.15 + $25.00 petty cash.

1st V.p. Juanita Davis reported membership is 858. She suggested we each try to bring an old or new member to the luncheon. As Sergeant at Arms, she said that the members have been well behaved and are returning badges.

2nd v.p. George Ramirez is writing letters to Sen. Feinstein, Rep. Capps and Rep. Gallegly thanking them for their support. He said that next month's speaker will probably be Bill Fisher, Financial Consultant, talking about VA, Medical, Medicare, Long Term Care. October or November will be Phyllis Lombardi from BC/BS

Service Officer Bob Willis said that he and Tony had given out phone numbers for S.S., V.A. and NARFE to obtain help and information.

Norm McCracken told Tony that Sen. Boxer is asking for NARFEPAC funds. No recommendation for now. He also asked if we would like to buy member pins. Voted no.

Marilou Balangue asked that Vic remind people that the sign up list is for next month's luncheon.

Sunshine Ch. Dukie Bailey sent a card to George Lindsey. She also suggested that we check with Jesse on new items for the menu.

Tony would like someone else to run for President.  No takers.
