General Meeting, 27 August 2009

resident Tony Pizza called the meeting to order at 12:00p.m.1
st v.p, Juanita Davis gave the invocation and led the pledge to the flag.Luncheon was served.
Our speaker was Holly Nash of the United Blood Services Central Coast
. They serve 22 hospitals in the tri-counties. 2nd largest provider of blood in the United States.Carl Bailey said that George Lindsey had triple by-pass surgery. He is doing well
and should be home by now.Juanita complimented all on the good behavior of the audience.
George Ramirez said that possible speakers are Bill Fisher speaking on benefits for Veterans, and Medicare and Medical, and the editor of the V.C. Star. He will invite Phyllis Lombardi from BC/BS to talk about changes for the coming year.
George also said that there are two Alzheimer's Walks coming up.
Juanita suggested that we each try to get one NARFE member to attend the next luncheon
