General Meeting - May 28, 2009

President Tony Pizza called the meeting to order at 12:05 p.m. 1st V.p.

Juanita Davis gave the invocation and led the pledge to the flag.

Luncheon was served.

2nd v.p. George Ramirez introduced the speaker, Jeff Johnson who owns Home Video Studio. He transfers home movies to DVD in digital format to preserve memories. He can transfer almost any format to DVD for preservation.

1st v.p. Juanita Davis is sending letters encouraging those who have been dropped to rejoin. She encourages dues withholding.

George Ramirez said that there would be no raise in health insurance fee.  Dr. Bob Warnegairis will be our June speaker on traffic management.  In August we will have a speaker from United Blood Services.

Our annual BBQ will be held July 23.  The menu will be chicken and tri-tip.

Tony said that NARFE is still trying to get GPO and WEP passed.

Our dues will be $40.00/year for National and Chapter is passed.

Board Meeting - June 4.  General - June 25.
