Embellishment of Homespun Patterns based on Kentucky Museum original. Body made of FHW weathered blue
on brown jeans cloth. Lining is blue stripe on white pillow ticking with nankeen lined sleeves.Jacket is sized
at @ 46-48: 47" chest, a 48" waist, 34" sleeves ( nape of neck at back to cuff edge), 19" armscye(underarm seam) to
sleeve cuff. Underarm to lower edge of side body piece is 11-1/4" with front measurement from below collar to lower
edge of front at 19-1/2", back seam measured from below collar to tip of back bottom edge of 22". Measure across back
from sleeve seam to sleeve seam is 18-1/4". Measure across front armscye to armscye is 16-3/4".
Machine sewn hidden seams with all visible stitching done by hand (inside & out). 8-button front.
One piece sleeves. No epaulets and no belt loops. Lower edge of jacket is contoured or tapered ('point' at back).
This jacket is cut to fit a person of 'regular' or 'short' normal coat size as
body and aleeve length are somewhat short if the wearer is over 5'9" or so.

Back measures from bottom of collar along back center seam to lowest point at 22". Underarm to cuff
measures 19".

The above views show the back of jacket and interior lining and facings. Jacket has two
interior pockets, one on each side. Facings extend along lower edge of back & side as well as up into collar.

Closer look at the jeans material of the body. Very stout stuff that should wear a very long time.

A rather poor view of the cuff topstitching and sleeve lining, but it gives an idea as to appearance and
construction. Thread used in topstitching is FHW supplied logwood dyed cotton (waxed). Very similar to
jeans color so it is hard to see in contrast.
