Glengary Clothing Depot will
be suspending operations temporarily during the timeframe of December 1, 2004 through and including February 29, 2005. During this period all orders that have been initiated will be completed in as timely
a manner as possible. No new orders will be honored until after the 2/29/05 date.
This sabbatical period is for
many reasons, not the least of which is to deal with a family illness (which currently is improving, thank you very much to
those of you who have sent their well wishes, hope and prayers). But also I’ll
be working on revamping some of the current product line, working with a host of museums and private collectors and fellow
vendors to build a line of offerings that will appeal to the reenactor and be as spot on accurate as possible. One major effort is to come up with a limited run of reproduction original cloth for the Atlanta Depot
Jacket, a reproduction of a 3rd Alabama jacket and an expansion into uniforms of Georgia and South Carolina providence
as well as a look at Texas garments.
How this will all turn out I do
not know but I hope that come March of next year the website will have a new look with a whole lot of new offerings. Until then I will leave the site open for viewing and will post any garments that
may come up for sale. Please feel free to send along any questions but also be
patient in awaiting replies as I may be away for periods of time. I will reply
as soon as possible.
