Barry's interests include the Bible, theology, philosophy, and technology. Shari's include the Bible, writing (she is a contributor to Thomas Nelson's Women's Study Bible), heirloom sewing and needlework, and the care and feeding of Schnauzers. Thanks to the arrival of one Nathania Joy GaoFan Hofstetter, and now Jacqueline Charis FuTingLi, we are both very interested in Chinese adoptions.


We met during a summer missions program in Florence, Italy, in 1982, and were married Dec. 10, 1983. Nathania joined our family March 25th, 1998. On October 31st, 2000 Jacqueline became a part of our family. Two arrows in the quiver, but they sure make the quiver rock and roll!

Thanks for visiting our page. We are both actively involved in ministry, Shari as a hospital chaplain, and Barry through various teaching and preaching. These pages are still under construction, so any comments are appreciated.
