Can you believe it is October already? This means we have a lot of activities coming up. For starters, Celebrity
Bartenders will be starting a new season. There will be a new sign-up sheet on the bulletin board and any member is welcome
to volunteer. One note, everyone, even those who have volunteered before, need to have a quick meeting with me to learn the
changes that have been made since last year.
The West District Charity Ball for Cerebral Palsy, our Major Project, is on November 7th. This is a lovely evening
and you have a chance to meet people from other Lodges. Please consider attending.
We also have our annual Veterans Dinner on Sunday, November 8th. This is such a touching ceremony and the veterans
are soappreciative of all we do. Please plan on attending and show your support for our veterans. Remember, “As long
as there is a veteran,the Elks will never forget”.
On a more serious note, if you are upset by anything in the Lodge, please let me know. I can’t work on
a problem I don’t know about. I won’t guarantee I will be able to satisfy everyone, but this is your Lodge. Please
