On the Cumberland Subdivision from Point of Rocks, MD west to Shenandoah Junction, WV:

A CSX train headed west from the Old Main Line past the Point of Rocks station.

Our train had three engines. The first two are restored Pennsylvania railroad round-nose PRR E-8s. The engine on the right is an Amtrak engine used to power the electricity aboard the train.

We passed by several dams along the Susquehanna.
The train also made several river crossings.

This is a CSX train on the New York Central Line from Albany to Buffalo near Weedsport NY during October 2002.

A July 13th, 2002 visit to the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore MD:

Inside the wheelhouse, it's engine 592.
Got nothing on engine 57.
Good ol' engine 1.
Here I am standing at the controls.
Western Maryland caboose 1803.
We took a ride on Western Maryland engine 236.
Chesapeake & Ohio passenger car 723.
Those are some big a** wheels!
Baltimore & Annapolis caboose 1984.

After the museum, we drove to Sykesville to have dinner at Baldwin's Station:

The tracks come this close to the restaurant.
CSX trains sometimes come by the restaurant.
Traveled on the Potomac Eagle on a 3-hour roundtrip from Romney WV on October 21st, 2001.
