Ralphs bought out Alpha Beta Stores. Then they bought the Hughes markets. Then Fred Meyer bought out Ralphs and then the Kroger stores bought Fred Meyer which owned Ralphs. So, the Ralphs stores were forced to sell a bunch of their stores last year.
4/5/00- Lucky stores here have been bought out by Albertsons so, I am assuming there are no Lucky stores any more. But I don't know for sure. And Albertson does not take expired nor double as far as I know.
9/18/03- Eagle Stores are being bought out by Hilander(owned by Kroger) so they may not be doubleing coupons any longer. If you have more facts, lmk.

CO, Arvada, Cub Foods at 80th & Sheridan theoretically takes coupons expired up to 6 months, depending on the checker. One time the checker tried to tell me they don't take expired coupons at all, so she asked the customer service manager and she said they only take coupons expired up to a few months (2 or 3 months, I guess.) But all the other times I've given coupons expired up to 6 months with no problem. CO, Aurora, Cub Foods (not sure of address) takes coupons expired up to 3 months according to a man on the phone who knew what he was talking about.

Harris Teeter in Jacksonville doubles 50¢ all the time and will occasionally triple 50¢ Sometimes for just 3 days and has triples for week once that I know of. I don't lived real close to one so don't shop there often. We have two stores in Jacksonville--very nice, upscale stores. -- 10/04 --I was told on 10/5 in a KMart that beginning 10/7 they would be doubling coupons on Thursdays only. I tried to find out if it was every store but they didn't know. He was of the opinion that it was a trail offer but wasn't sure.
9/04 -- In the Florida-south Georgia area, Food Lion bought out Harveys about 6 mos ago. All of the Food Lions changed their name to Harvey's and took on their double coupon policy. They double up to and inlcuding 50¢. the store manager thinks the registers only double the 1st coupon, but the register doubles them all. But the official policy is to only accept the 1st of identical coupons to bebdoubled then the rest of that same item's c/os at face value. But I guess they must know (or they should know if they even shop their own store with coupons)all are being doubled. The new Food Lion/Harvey stores have undergone wonderul facelifts and it's a pleasure to shop there! A lot of items are free after double coupons...you should check out the store on W. Tennessee St. Tallahassee! Bring all your coupons! What a kick!

This is from the Rockford IL. Newspaper today: The Belvidere (IL) Eagle will sit vacant like the former Eagle store on 5875 E Riverside Blvd in Rockford. The future of the Eagle store 2704 N. Main remains uncertain. Kroger Co. won court approval for it's $6 Million bid on two Rockford Eagles, 2514 S, Alpine and 3134 11th St. They will spend 6-8 weeks before opening the stores as Hilander stores. Hilander is owned by Kroger.

Very occasionally they have a Super Double special and double through $1.00 (to $2.00 total). The stores around the Wichita area have Super Doubles much more frequently. I understand the main office now is saying they won't take coupons past expiration, but they have been here for 2 weeks. At Food4Less there are triple coupons through .33 with anything over to .99 as $1.00.

OR, Salem. The Albertsons Store on Lancaster accepts expired coupons, and they also accept any other stores coupons. I have also used expired coupons in the Safeway on Lancaster in Salem also.

WI, LaCrosse--Cub Foods, on Sunday takes expired coupons up to 90 days! WI, Green Bay--Cub Foods, was told they will accept expired c/o's not older than 6 months. WI, Green Bay. Cub Foods on East Mason Street. As far as I know there is not limit to how long they can be expired. I have used some recently from 1995 and had no problem. |
