

I've re-enlisted four times. Although an officer has to sign the paperwork, I always try to have a chief give me the oath.
On the left is CTTC Carl "Buddy" Foster on board a World War II submarine.
To the right is CTRC (SS) Sam "the conductor" Catalane. The lone sailor at the Navy Memorial in Washington D.C. looks on almost smiling....
The third time I re-up'd was the end of an era. At the very last Q-4 class ever taught at SUBSCOL NLON in Groton Connecticut.
The fourth and final time I re-enlisted in the Navy was in the Tap & Spile Pub in Harrogate England, with then CTIC(SS) Ron Gorby.

Here's a navy event I'd like to forget! The blue nose ceremony up above the arctic circle! Currently I'm a blue nosed, shell back....
