AccelerATE Solutions, Inc. was founded in January 2006 as a platform-independent Semiconductor Test Engineering service provider.  AccelerATE provides services including test pattern conversion, test interface development, test program development, device characterization, failure analysis (if required), test program optimization, sample production, deployment to volume manufacturing, and test program conversion to reduce production costs.

AccelerATE' s Value Proposition

AccelerATE' s goal is to be a multi-platform consultant organization to satisfy the test development needs of Fabless semiconductor, IDM and test house businesses. The organization fills a void that currently exists in the semiconductor development lifecycle of many organizations.  As more and more companies adopt the fabless business model, they discover that they are able to find foundries to produce their devices and facilities to package their devices, but they are unable to find qualified outsourcing vendors to help test and characterize their designs without other underlying motivations such as locking in the production business or the platform brand.  Companies with high volume devices are sometimes able to find assistance through the packaging facility, however, more often than not, those resources are overused and not available.  Companies with medium or small production quantities are usually unable to find any support at all. Sometimes an ATE vendor will provide support to gain a design win and lock the company into the platform brand, however, this is usually not in the company' s best interest. AccelerATE is an obvious choice for fabless companies to approach for wafer through production services since they are platform and production facility independent.  Services provided by AccelerATE can be targeted to whichever platform and production facility that the customer desires.  Also, AccelerATE can assist the customer in moving their business to other platforms or facilities at a later date if the customer wishes.
