Holly is delighted to serve as Spiritual Leader of Olney Kehila. She leads our Shabbat and Holiday services, facilitates life-cycle ritual for Olney Kehila families, teaches special programming in our Hebrew school, and supports members in their pastoral care needs.
In addition to serving as Olney Kehila’s Spiritual Leader, Holly teaches Judaism in a number of Washington, DC area Jewish communities.
Holly is co-founder of Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute, an organization and training program devoted to reclaiming and innovating models of embodied Jewish spiritual leadership, creativity and community from an earth-honoring, feminist perspective. She sits on the planning committee of the Sacred Circles Interfaith Women's Spirituality Conference of the National Cathedral and the Women's Faith and Development Alliance. She also served as an executive officer on the board of directors of ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal, and is a primary leader of their next generation programming.
Holly received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Folklore and Folklife from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998. She is a folklorist, ritual facilitator and educator on Renewal Judaism and Women's Spirituality.
