Congratulations to the WPSL West Division Champions California Storm on another successful season!! The 2005 regular season completed with the Storm finishing with thirteen wins and a tie to lead the WPSL West. The Storm played in the 2005 WPSL Championship Tournament in Agawam, Massachusetts. The Storm won their semi-final game against the Steel City Sparks 3-0 with two goals from Chelsea Hunt and a third from Leslie Osbourne. See some of my photos from the semi-finals. The Storm lost a hard fought battle to FC Indiana in the 2005 WPSL championship game. FC Indiana won 4-3 on penalty kicks after the game finished 3-3 in regulation and 4-4 after overtime.

Midwest (FC Indiana, FC St Louis, Memphis Mercury, Michigan Phoenix, River Cities Futbol Club, Tennessee FC Lady Blues)
South (Central Florida Strikers, Miami Surf, Orlando Falcons, Palm Beach United, South Florida Breeze, Tampa Bay)
East (Atlantic City Diablos, Adirondack Lynx, Bay State Select, Boston Aztecs, Central Delaware SA Future, FC Virginia, Long Island Fury, Maryland Pride, Massachusetts Stingers, New England Mutiny, Northampton Laurels F.C., New York Athletic Club, Philadelphia Pirates, Rhode Island Rays, Steel City Sparks).

In 1998, the Storm joined most of the Western Division of the W-League to form the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL).
