"Love Now Not Distant"

Love now not distant as it was once before,
She, my lovely angel, walks through the door;
Caught in the spectrum of her subtle grace,
Chained to this moment, lost in time and space.

I, now not lonely, await her tender kiss,
Touch the sweet surrender that promises bliss;
Gaze at reflections of the drama in her eyes
See it unfolding, the longing 'tween her and I.

Sweet, now not bitter, is my heart inside,
Arms to hold her now stand open wide;
Empty this life was until she came along,
Tears once a companion, no longer belong.

Solace she brings me in each and every way,
Vocal sings the heart that lives for the day;
Home in her embrace is where I long to be,
Eyes seek not a face when her heart is all I see.

Song inside me now breaking free at last,
Sadness I once felt is now going past;
Love now not distant as it was once before
She, my lovely angel, walks through the door.
