GASPAR’S CIGAR SHOPPE ROBBED!

Last week Gaspar's was assaulted and the thieves got away with over a thousand cigars and a plasma TV, among other items, just days before the second anniversary of its opening. The robbers managed to break through a drywall connected to an adjacent office and into the smoking den where the big screen TV and the customers’ lockers are located. There, they systematically proceeded to empty all the lockers off their cigars  and then took the TV.

Because this area is accessible to customers with lockers 24/7 there were no motion detectors alerted until the perpetrators decided to break into the store humidor section of the shop, which immediately triggered the alarm. They grabbed a few boxes from the humidor and ran with their loot. Five minutes later the police arrived and found they were gone.

However, they didn’t escape without a trace, as the security cameras managed to capture them on video. D.C. is going to send me the pictures soon so I can share them with you all, in case you recognize any of the individuals. In the meantime, be on the alert if anyone who is not a known cigar representative approaches you with the intent of selling cigars and make sure to tip the police if you have any information that can help put these criminals behind bars.

At this point we don’t know if the 2nd Anniversary party, scheduled for July 18th, is still on target or if it’ll be postponed. Once a decision is made I’ll past the word out. Our heart goes out to D.C. and to all the customers affected by these criminals and we hope the police will throw them in jail in short order.

Smoking a cigar is nothing like smoking a cigarette. When you smoke a cigar, you have time to think. It teaches you patience and tolerance, and gives you an appreciation of good company.

"Smoking a cigar gives you a chance to sit back and take things slow for a bit. You can wipe all of the day's thoughts out of  your brain for that short period and just relax and enjoy the peace"
