Team Halloween will be walking in the 14th annual Support A Walk on Sunday,
October 5, 2008 in FDR Park in Yorktown Hts., NY. Donations raised will
go to THE SUPPORT CONNECTION, a unique organization that provides services
and support for people and their families effected by breast and ovarian
cancer. Unlike many organizations, 90% of funds go right back into services
& programs. If you would like to support Pam in her event please go

Team Halloween raises over $600.00!
At the 7th New England Haunter’s Gathering, Team Halloween raised
$660.00 for the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition by holding a Silent
Auction. The staff of the Haunt Club cleaned out their attics and offered
up Halloween items that they no longer needed. Halloween books, cds, collectors
items and props were sold with for a good cause.
Dear Pam,
We would like to express our thanks to the East Coast Haunt Club for its
outstanding generosity. The donation of $660.00 collected from the silent
auction held at your successful fundraiser in Salem, MA is greatly appreciated
by the Board of Directors and staff of Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition.
Your support of the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition sustains our
efforts to raise awareness, advocate for increased research into causes
and prevention of breast cancer and kindle the extraordinary power of
women and men everywhere who are touched by this struggle.
With Sincerest Thanks,
Deborah Shields

Haunters like to startle, to scare and to entertain. But they also like
to help people and causes. Across the country, Haunted Attractions, professional
and amateur alike have turned themselves into Charity Haunts. They do
this by collecting canned food for the hungry or monetary donations for
various charities and organizations.
These efforts are not just confined to October and the haunting season.
Haunters want the world to know that we give to the community not just
during Halloween, but all year round. Thus…Team Halloween was born…
Team Halloween is a charitable project, started by Mike Krausert of Bad
Boys Scenic Design when he participated in “Against the Tide”
and kayaked to raise money for the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition.
"I wanted a name to represent what I love." says Mike, who has
been fundraising and haunting for 15 years. Mike received donations not
only from friends and neighbors, but from people in the Haunt community
including a generous donation from Terror on The Fox, the Haunted Attraction
that he works for.
Inspired by Mike and the generosity of haunters like him, Team Halloween
caught on and was used by Midnyte Hollow for a walkathon to benefit The
Support Connection that same year and proceeded to expand with the sale
of ribbon magnets and other merchandise.
Our hope is that haunters and Halloween enthusiasts will use the name
Team Halloween to raise money for cancer support groups, cancer research
or for any organization that they feel is worthy.
