Text Box: Is this the console of the PATOS WurliTzer? In a way, it is. It is actually a 1/6 scale model of the PATOS console built in 2009 by PATOS’ Emcee Mike Hohn who obviously has some incredible model building skills and a lot of time on his hands. Those of you that have been at either of the last two programs, know that the model is actually a suggestion box for patrons to use in the lobby. If you have any doubts about this being a model, please scroll down a bit.

And here’s another model of a console built by a PATOS member in 1969 - - - - - - - - >

This one is a bit smaller at 1/10 scale and was not meant to be a model of any particular console.

Jelani Eddington has released a book of theatre organ stylings and plans are in the works for several more.  It has been a long time since good theatre organ stylings were available in print.  If interested go HERE.  You can even listen to and/or download MP3 samples of the music arranged in the book.

Rounded Rectangle: ATOS has just started a new feature called ATOS Radio that features high quality theatre organ music through your PCs speakers 24 hours a day. Click on the above link to go there. You can also create a shortcut to the music to access it directly from your desktop.

Interesting developments at the University of Oklahoma . . . They are the current owners of the large
Moller organ from the now-demolished Philadelphia Municipal Auditorium.  The 86 rank combined
concert/theatre organ with two 4-manual consoles is being restored for use in their school of music
and 14 ranks are now playing from a 3 manual console. To read about their efforts and hear samples
of the organ’s music in both its original home in Philadelphia (in 1992) and in its new home, go to
the American Organ Institute's website.
