First Collection: Butterflies
The Butterfly Garden at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, MD, is a great place to visit and take photos. There you'll find butterflies native to the United States and Central America. Many from Central America have brilliant colors. Some of the butterflies mate in the Butterfly Garden, and cocoons hatch in an incubator where visitors can watch them.

Second Collection: Smithsonian Folklife Festival
Every year, near the Fourth of July, the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC puts on a Folklife Festival on the National Mall. The festivities include music, dance, crafts, food, and interactive displays. Each year, one region or subculture in the US and one country abroad are featured.
