Phil's 1965 Ford Falcon Futura ...
Here's Phil's story...
In 1972 I bought my first car. It was a 1964 Falcon Sprint convertible. I tried to restore it, but due to lack of money, experience and unavailability of parts, my restoration was unsuccessful. I never wanted to see another Falcon again.
About 25 years later, I saw an ad in the newspaper - For Sale: a 1965 Falcon Futura. I thought about it for a couple of days, remembering that first Falcon and never wanting to see another Falcon again. But I just had to go take a look at this 1965 Falcon.
I walked into the garage and took one look at the 1965 Falcon Futura. And I said, "I'll take it." I did not even take it for a test drive. I drove it home. This was MY Falcon. It was previously owned by a school teacher. It was never restored. The cigarette lighter and ash trays were never used. And the best part of all is that I still have some of my Falcon parts from that first car of mine. Just in case I need them.
