Bob Clark's Story...
It was in April of 1964 that I was with my brother when he went to pick up his brand new
black Falcon Sprint with a 4-speed manual transmission & red interior. My heart was in love with the bodylines on that
car and my interest in these cars has remained to this day & today I currently own four 1964 Falcon Sprints - two hardtops
and two convertibles.
Some of my Falcon’s histories:
After
I got back from my tour of duty in Vietnam in 1970, I was ordered to Fort Hood in Texas. As I was en-route to Fort Hood and
was passing by Temple, Texas when I saw a dynasty green 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint for sale. I stopped immediately to look at
it - it was a factory 4-speed car with a black interior. I bought it on the spot and kept it for three years before selling
it to my friend’s son.
The cinnamon colored
Falcon Sprint I own was built at the San Jose, California plant & was driven back to PA in 1974. It was put away in storage
until one day just by chance a fellow was going shopping and pulled me over to tell me what a nice Ford Falcon I was driving.
He also wanted to know if I wanted to buy another one just like it. I got his phone number and went to look at it. I
bought his Falcon that night & trailered it home a few days later.
My red 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint is my daily driver
and is the car I take to cruises and shows. It originally came up from Florida in 2001. I have added numerous upgrades and
other Falcon options to this car and ownrd this car about 5 years now.
