In like a Lion, Out like a Lion?
March has reminded us that there really are four seasons in Maryland. At different points this month, we’ve had weather warm enough for summer, cold enough for winter and even a few days of perfect spring weather.

We’re working on re-grading and replanting the lawn after our home improvement adventures last summer. After too much dry weather, it’s finally rained some, and that’s been a big help to the grass.

Benjamin celebrated his sixth birthday this month. It’s incredible how fast he’s growing up. It doesn’t seem like that long ago Peggy was pregnant. About a week before his birthday he started telling us about the new bike his friend had gotten. He finished the conversation with, “Don’t you think that’s a good birthday present?" He did get a bike for his birthday and Audrey is helping him learn to ride it.

Rose was glad to be finished with the musical play she spent most of January and February rehearsing for. We’ve ordered a couple of DVDs to share so everyone who wants to can see how talented she is. Now she’s turning her attention back to school work. She’s enjoying home schooling herself, but sometimes it’s hard to stay on track.

Audrey has been systematically rereading the Harry Potter series and is also reading the first book to Benjamin. She reads beautifully, with lots of expression. Peggy is enjoying hearing the book nearly as much as Ben.
