Forde-Byrne marriage notice

The marriage of Miss Sidney [sic] B. Forde, daughter of Mrs. M. B. Forde, and Mr. Henry A. Byrne of Schenectady, N. Y., was solemnized Monday morning at the rectory of the Church of the Sacred Heart. The ceremony, performed by the Rev. John F. Cummins, rector of the church, was witnessed only by immediate relatives and a few friends. The bride was unattended.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the wedding party returned to the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. D. J. Mahoney, 185 Poplar Street, where a wedding luncheon was served. Mr. and Mrs. Byrne left on an early afternoon train for Schenectady, N.Y., where they will make their home.

Miss Forde is well known in newspaper circles in this city, having been associated with the Boston Traveler [illegible text] for fourteen years, and she had also been in the employ of the Jamaica Plain News, soon after leaving the West Roxbury High School. Mr. Byrne is employed in the works of the General Electric Company at Schenectady.

Many useful and valuable gifts were received by Miss Forde, among them a chest of silver from the employes of the Boston Traveler, a valuable silver gift from the publishers of that paper and from individual friends on the staff of the Traveler.
