Here's what SockTest looks like.

This screen-shot was taken after connecting to port 80 of www.usps.gov (the U.S. Postal Service) performing an HTTP POST to the Web form that delivers zip-codes for addresses. In this case, the zip-code for: 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington D.C. The HTML source shown in the frame window is what that server returned to SockTest. Apparently, more than one high muckety-muck lives there!

Kinda boring example? Maybe, but can you do this without launching a browser? SockTest can!
