Greenup and Lawrence KY. In southeast Ohio...Gallia...Lawrence
OH...Meigs and Washington. In southwest Virginia...Buchanan
and Dickenson. In West Virginia...Barbour...Boone...Braxton...
Cabell...Calhoun...Clay...Doddridge...Fayette...Gilmer...
Harrison...Jackson WV...Kanawha...Lewis...Lincoln...Logan...

* From Wednesday afternoon through late Wednesday night
* a developing low pressure system will track northeastward across
the Ohio River Wednesday into Wednesday night. Steady
rain...heavy at times...will overspread the watch area during
the late morning hours on Wednesday...and continue into
Wednesday night. Current indications are that the heaviest rain
will fall across areas near and along the Ohio River...where one
to two inches of rain can be expected by late Wednesday night.
Father east...a general one inch of rain can be expected...with
locally higher amounts possible. Central West Virginia is
particularly vulnerable...due to heavy rainfall received over
the past couple of days.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
