The Business-Related Indexing SIG of ASI provides publicity for members, a resource for job referrals, networking and information exchange, professional development, and advance awareness of quality indexes for business-related publications. Their web site includes a directory of indexers who specialize in the indexing of business subjects such as accounting, marketing, management, corporate law, finance, banking, or investing as well as other resources.

The title says it all. This is an article I wrote for Kevin Broccoli, Broccoli Information Management's HTML Indexing course. You'll find the article at the website for the Web Indexing SIG (Special Interest Group) of ASI, which promotes the human indexing of the web and HTML documents and serves web indexers and web indexing worldwide. Their web site includes resources for indexers, sample web indexes, and a directory of web indexers.

Society of Technical Communication Indexing Special Interest Group
The purpose of the STC Indexing SIG is to help each other learn more about writing good indexes through communication, education, and publication. Their web site includes previous issues of their excellent, informative newsletter A to Z: The Newsletter of STC's Indexing SIG.
Sports-Fitness Indexing Special Interest Group
The Sports-Fitness Indexing SIG of ASI serves as a network for indexers who work in the areas of sports, fitness, and related areas, including sports medicine and physical therapy. Their web site includes a directory of sports-fitness indexers as well as other resources.
Graduate School, USDA (GS) Self-Paced Training Program
The USDA offers two excellent accredited correspondence courses on indexing: "Basic Indexing" and "Applied Indexing."
