Make a positive contribution to high level deliberations on national security by seeking to define the military threat and to assess both the U.S. and prospective adversaries' capabilities, allowing our national leaders to make intelligent decisions regarding national defense posture.
Work actively to provide a positive influence on the youth of our country by helping to improve their knowledge of history, science and other fields, stressing the importance of education and character development and providing them inspirational examples of important qualities and values.
Seek to afford tangible recognition for the outstanding achievements of our fine young men and women in uniform through awards programs, media releases and other means.
Work actively to ensure that the quality of life for military personnel is adequately maintained by addressing such issues as compensation, housing, family separation, child care, etc.
Serve as a viable interface between active military and defense industry, seeking to improve all aspects of the defense acquisition process and to maintain a strong defense industrial base.
Actively support the Naval Reserve by forcefully articulating the total force concept which has been essential to the maintenance of national security throughout history.
Actively support and interface with federal organizations such as NASA and the FAA to promote the enhancement of all fields of aerospace activity.
Serve as a repository of historical data on the contribution of sea power to the maintenance of national security and the achievement of national objectives, with specific emphasis on sea-based air power.
