MARCH 21, 2004 - CLEANING IT UP


Now the fun begins,  we must clean the car to get it so we can itentify what will need to be done to get the car ready for this project.  



As you can see, there is a lot of trash inside the car from the previous owner.  



Above are the items we will keep for now.  Below is a list of items that we will keep or sell.

Items to try to reuse:
2 racing seats that need to be recovered, seat brackets, roll bar supports, various bumper parts,  heater controls, stereo bracket, drive shaft.  

Items to sell:
Monocrome monitor, Carberator for 2.3 motor, seat belts



As you can see, the interior has been cleaned and vaccumed.  it is now free of all loose debris so we can see what needs to be done on the interior prior to completing the body work.

Other work to complete is refinishing the gage cluster that is completely sun damaged.  We just need to replace the plexiglass on the face.


Next week we will pick up the engine from my fathers house where it has been sitting for the last 15 years.  Hopefully it will be OK to rebuild, otherwise, we will need to look for another engine.
