April
1, 2007 – This is no joke
This weekend I took Friday
off and went to the Good Guys Show in Del Mar, CA. There were a lot of nice cars and I picked up a few parts
for the pinto that will be used later, but not before the contest. I did see a few mopar cars that
were worth mentioning though.

After the show, I stopped by a friends shop where I made the deal of the century. I got all items above in the bed for $7. It was all scrap to him and where he works, it just gets picked up. I offered to buy some Monster Energy drinks and he came up with 2 of them. The list is as follows.

Receipt for tracking of
budget

Ana the shop manager trying
out her new car (could not get her out of it all day)

We spent most of the
afternoon putting the car back together so it would run. We did get it started later in the day,
but it was overheating badly. We
both thought about it overnight and on Sunday, I just pulled the
thermostat. I did get a new one, but
will run with out for the next few months.
Next weekend we should just
need to install the bumpers and verify that the car will not overheat. If that is the case, then we can focus
on changing out the parts as required so that we can better satisfy our
budget.
