- OK, maybe we forgot about the pinto
Hopefully, Chris and I can continue to work on the
Pinto over Thanksgiving weekend, however, I still have a few side
projects that need to be complete if I value my quality of life....
1) I had better get my garage in enough orginazition to fit my wifes
car as requested last year during the 130 inches of rain we received
(not a lot in some areas, but in Southern California?!?)
2) I should remove the donor car (82 mustang) from my fathers house so
he can use the space as needed.
This week, we worked on item 2 and removed part of the car.

First, Chris, Doug and I unburried the car from my fathers side yard so
we could get to what we needed. Our intent was to remove parts
that we could sell, and toss the rest. Most of the interior was
trashed with the exception of the gauges and console, so we saved those
along with the wheels and t-tops.

with the t-tops removed, chris worked on the dash as I removed the rear
hatch with Doug

After I cut the A pillar on the passenger side, Chris cut the pilar on
the drivers side

I then cut the B pillar on both sides to get the top out in one large
flat piece

Any one need a roof, we now have a convertable

Since we removed the windshield, we wont be needing these

By lunch, we had the car fairly apart. We now need to focus on
removing the suspension at the front so we can get the springs for the
pinto (if they fit)

More views of the destruction. it would appear that this car had
been invloved in a wreck at one time because the B pilars showed signs
of heavy use of bondo with lots of rust underneath

End of the day, we still need to get the removed items to a dumpster at
a super secret location

here are the parts at said super secret location (Thanks Sammy)
