The
following are exerpts from the email I received from Aunt Suzanne:
"We did it at 4:30 in the afternoon on Tuesday, May 20th.
It had rained constantly in Ireland for the whole week that Sandy
and I were there but late that Tuesday afternoon there was a little
break in the weather and some sunshine peeked through the clouds.
Mom and I rushed right outside and we scattered Mya's ashes around
her apple tree.

The
whole orchard was beginning to bloom but the most beautiful tree
was Mya's. It was way ahead of all the other trees and it was
truly gorgeous. It's a wonderful spot to think about Mya in. The
orchard is lovely...very peaceful, surrounded by a pretty stone
wall, with the most picturesque farm off in the distance on the
other side of the wall. The field next door is filled with cows
and knowing Mya's love of animals its the perfect spot. She will
be well looked after there by Nanna.
All the people I met when I was with my mother had so many nice
things to say about Mya. The Irish are the sweetest people and
most had tears in their eyes when they told Mom how sorry they
were. They all remembered Mya from when she was a little girl.
Mom immediately got out the most recent pictures of River and
all were so happy to see Mya's beautiful little boy. River will
be most welcomed when he goes to Adare to visit!!!
I have wonderful pictures of Mya's tree that I want to send you.
You'll feel good seeing how pretty it is there.
I think of all of you often...very often just find myself thinking
about Mya and how lucky we were to have had her with us for the
time that we did. I try to remember the funny, happy times and
not dwell on her death but occasionally the sadness does creep
in. Thank goodness you all have River as your tie to Mya."
