Syzygies II and III

Syzygies II (yellow) and III (purple) are the most difficult to understand of the relationships because they lack a plane of symmetry that grabs the eye.
The two Syzygies have one main title viewpoint and control panel, because they are actually one basic relationship with three elements - the Tone Waveform
and the yellow and purple Gauge Waveforms.

Their relationship can be expressed like this: The yellow Waveform is to the Tone Waveform as the Tone Waveform is to the purple Waveform.  Another relationship analogy is useful here with the fractions 2/3 and 3/2. 2/3 is a distinctively different proportion than its reciprocal 3/2, yet when
multiplied together, they make 1. In the same way, Syzygies II and III. have their own individual musical scale, but as the models in the VRML scene will demonstrate, after they are dragged when the cylinder button is activated, they can be turned into each other by simple rotation. Likewise, 2/3 can be transformed into 3/2 by  simply switching sides of the division line.

Once the cylinder button is activated, you will be brought to an appropriate viewpoint to view the rotation. A flashing
arrow on the Syzygy II model indicates that the model can be rotated by dragging around that point. By clicking the diffrent yellow and purple vertical "w" icons,
you can view all the different rotations/transformations possible.

Syzygies II and III, because of their asymmetrical nature, have musical properties that will be examined in the next section.
