1981-WKPA radio station. Sal and WKPA's general manager discuss a telethon. In only two programs, this event raised $11,664.44 for victims of an earthquake in Campania. The money was sent to the Red Cross to assist those areas which were heavily damaged. The generosity of Sal's listeners demonstrated the responsiveness and concern of the Italian community. |
| Toto Cutugno, one of the most successful Sanremo artists, was featured on Radio Italia on several occasions. His song, "L'Italiano" is still one of the most requested songs in the history of Radio Italia. |
