Radio Italia with Sal Patitucci, has been acknowledged many times by various Italian-American associations as main vehicle of promotions and preservation of the Italian language and music in America:

  • In 1994 Sal Patitucci received an award for communication from the Italian Heritage Society of America.
  • In 1995 Sal was honored as Man of the Year by the Sons of Columbus of America.
  • In the past years, Radio Italia with Sal Patitucci also received awards from:
    • The Dante Alighieri Society
    • The Calabria Club
    • The City of Pittsburgh
    • Allegheny County Pennsylvania

Sal at Work
Since 1964 Sal has produced programs for a number of radio stations in the Pittsburgh area:  WKPA, WHJB, WEEP, WQED, WYEP, WMBA, WBVP and recently with WKFB.
