#P0481 1/6 Plate Daguerreotype young woman sitting in a gothic chair

Sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype of a young woman sitting in a gothic chair. She appears to be a very well endowed young lady. Housed in a half case. CONDITION: the re-silvered plate is in very good condition. Some brownish looking spot in the background and some mat scrapes at the very top and the lower left quadrant. New glass and sealed with P90. (NOTE: re-silvered refers to a process done by the daguerreotypist to add an extra layer of silver to the plate before buffing and the image exposed. This is generally believed to have been done to achieve a superior plate surface, hence a better quality daguerreotype.) $110.00
