#3135 1/6 Daguerreotype, a rugged man by ANSON

Rugged man sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype by ANSON of NYC. Fair haired goateed gent looks like a seaman in his heavy coat. Mat is marked “ANSON 589 BROADWAY” along with the case pad. Housed in a worn ANSON case with a leather spine repair. The case is slightly misaligned and will not close completely. CONDITION: the plate is in very good condition with some minor spotting, bluish haze on the bottom left (overly pronounced by the scan) and some minor mat marks. Resealed by a previous owner with some white fabric type tape. $135
